In this Thought for the Week our Vicar, Jon, reflects on the importance of encouragement as we follow in St Barnabas’ footsteps. Once you have listened you might like to think about who you could encourage in their Christian journey today. A word of encouragement from you could have an everlasting impact.
In this Thought of the Week Jon reflects on overcoming the mountains which we face. We are reminded that St Paul writes, ‘I can do all things through him who strengthens me’. What mountain are you facing? Ask God to give you the strength to climb it today.
Jon, our Vicar writes: In this Thought for the Day, first broadcast on HCR, I reflect on Paul’s words in Colossians 3 that we should be compassionate, kind, gentle and humble in our dealings with others. We should choose our words with great care. With apologies, the reference to funerals I makes should, of course, be to weddings!
In this short reflection, first broadcast on HCR, Jon our Vicar reflects on the need to persevere. You might like to think about what task God is calling you to complete. May we all be inspired to follow Jesus’ example and keep our eyes fixed on him knowing the joy which awaits us.
